Hello! I’m Leslie Howard and I’m the narrator for the first 4 Just Cause Universe books. These books have been a pleasure to work on. The action never disappoints. The characters are always nicely described and there were plenty of unusual accents to put on.
One of my favorite characters to inhabit was the villain from book 3, Day of the Destroyer. We follow him as a child through his difficult life and genius inventions, and watch his psychopathic behaviors develop. And I always love the strong, witty, female characters. We also see generations of parahumans, watching their children grow and our heroes age.
I wouldn’t usually be attracted to a prison story (well, except for Silence of the Lambs, lol), but Deep Six was clever and engaging, with a plethora of fun bad guys and some very resourceful low level parapowered guards to wrangle them.
The audiobook production of these titles span from the beginning of this year, back to early in my career, and you can see my work develop through them. Working with Ian is always a pleasure. The worlds he gives us are easy to enter and bring us great action, laughs, and bits of wisdom.
