Meet the Narrator: Murdoch Pennington

Murdoch Pennington

I am a native of Western Colorado. I was raised on a cattle ranch and ran more or less wild across more than 10,000 acres of our ranch and public lands. My father taught me to hunt with a rock when I was six years old. An avid reader since the age of 4, I read to my children beginning before they were born, bringing characters to life with different voices and accents. I was exceedingly introverted until I talked myself into taking the lead in a community melodrama when I was 17. Since then I have nearly 40 performances, both on stage and radio, under my belt. I am new to narrating and find that I love it more than anything else I have ever done, i.e. selling real estate, law enforcement, firefighting and being an EMT, (though the last two I still enjoy). My wife persuaded my to give it a shot, telling me “It’s time you put those voices in your head to work.”

I have thoroughly enjoyed working with Ian on Airship Lies. What a rich tapestry of characters! Finding the combination of voices to bring the stories out in the way they were painted in my head was both challenging and rewarding. I am currently working on a series of hard boiled detective novels and will soon begin production of Ian’s Assassin, to which I am very much looking forward! (Also I am not as old as this makes me sound)

Murdoch Pennington narrated Airship Lies. You can find it on Audible, iTunes, and Amazon.
