Sally sniffled and stuck her arms through the sleeves. Her arms, at least, seemed unchanged, and her hands were still her own. She didn’t know how she would have dealt with looking down to see a stranger’s hands attached to her arms. As she shrugged her shoulders into the robe, her hair flopped forward. Gone were her cornsilk-yellow tresses, replaced instead by raven colored locks like Sondra’s. “Black hair?” She tugged on it, as if it were a wig and she could remove it, but it pulled at her scalp, attached at the roots.
“Frazetta girls should be brunettes,” said Minerva. “Are you hungry? I’m starving.”
Sally realized that yes, she did have a yawning hole in her belly and a raging thirst to go with it. “Yeah.”
“You should be careful,” said Ment. “It might be hard to walk on your new legs at first. You’re taller now. Like, a good four inches.”
True to Ment’s prediction, Sally jarred her teeth together when her feet hit the floor before she was ready. She swayed out of balance as she realized her center of gravity had changed. Big hips and a big bosom made it hard for her to move the way she was used to, and her lengthened legs made it feel like she was wearing five-inch platform shoes. She wished she had her running boots on for the lateral support they provided, because she was terrified that she would twist an ankle with every step.
