Nigel has been a professional English actor since the mid nineteen-eighties. Working in Theatre (repertory, touring and lots of Pantomimes), film (He plays Oscar Madison in Jack the Giant Killer) , Television (He’s one of the crew in the very first episode of Red Dwarf as well as numerous small parts), commercials (a surreal series of 3 for mystocks.de) , and of course voice work! Including animation (In Search of Sara J recorded in Naples, Italy), voicing the Professor for a series of commercials for Memorex filmed in Hamburg, Germany, re-voicing foreign films into English and audio books. Nigel started by working for major publishers Hodder and Stoughton and funeral games, colin heintze, ian thomas healy, undead, ghosts, necromancy, fantasy, high fantasy, court fantasy, nigel peever, audiobookHarper Collins releasing unabridged CD box sets for libraries like the Agent of Rome series by Nick Brown and the incredibly wonderful Robin Jarvis book Fighting Pax. With the onset of audible.com and the digital revolution Nigel now works directly with authors and publishers to produce “Enhanced Narrations”. In which the texts are brought to life by treating the novels more like scripts and introducing music and effects to make the dialogue seem as though it is actually taking place and the prose is just there to describe what the listener can’t see.
